What you should have...
As a housemate you should have an interest in actively contributing to our residential community. This „contribution“ does not have to be a world-shattering kind of thing. The Protestant student dorm offers you a variety of opportunities to get involved. Every semester there are lots of „positions“ to be assigned, e.g. students council, gardening department, environmental department, breakfast department, rooms department, bar department and baking oven department (in this case „department“ refers to an area of responsibility). Everyone can suggest a department theirselves. So far we had for instance dancing classes and knitting classes as well as Italian classes, French classes...

Prices, Deadlines
The rent for a single room in the Protestant student dorm ranges between 181 and 277 Euro per month, the size of the rooms ranges between 8,2 and 21,5 sq.m.
The price for a place in a shared bedroom ranges between 151 and 153 Euro per month, the shared rooms are 24 sq.m.
The leasing contract starts on April 01 and on October 01 respectively and expires on March 31 and September 30.
The regular renting timeframe is four semesters. After that the contract can be extended upon application.
To get the extension of the contract, you should be an active member of the residential community, which you can become by taking one of the departments (see above).

How to apply
Applications have to be submitted by January 15 or June 15 in each case for the following semester. They need to include the following documents:

1. Filled-in questionnaire and characterisation of yourself in four-fold copy
2. Photo (please write down your name on the back)
3. Certificate of matriculation
4. Stamps: 0,55 Euro and 1,44 Euro
5. References (submitted by a reverend, a teacher of religious education) where appropriate

Please note: Only if you submit all the required documents will we process your application.

An Aufnahmekommission- composed of members of the Verwaltungsrat of the Keller-Thoma-Stiftung, student representatives and the warden- will decide whether you will be admitted. We seek to send you the notificaion about your admission until February 15 or July 15.
